NOCTUARY: New Music Available For Download
July 13, 2004California's NOCTUARY have posted two new tracks at this location. The songs "The Path" and "Abject Fear Reside" show the band moving in a more melodic, traditional metal-influences direction (i.e. MEGADETH, IRON MAIDEN),while retaining the seething black metal backbone that garnered them attention on 1998's "...For Salvation" and 2000's critically acclaimed "When Fires Breed Blood", both on Lost Disciple Records. The two new tracks were recorded in mid-April with John Haddad (EYES OF FIRE) producing at Shiva Studios, and were previously only available to online mailing list members.
Of the new tracks, NOCTUARY vocalist/guitarist/mastermind Joseph Van Fossen says, "We feel that these two new songs showcase our melody and power, as well as our willingness to try something new within the extreme metal framework. We think black metal, traditional metal, and metalcore fans alike will find something to enjoy in these songs, so enjoy!"
September will see NOCTUARY support death metal gorelords IMPALED (Century Media Records) on several shows in California, Arizona, and Texas. A one-off date in Juarez, Mexico (minus IMPALED) is also in the works.
